When was the last time you celebrated yourself?
Celebrating yourself is being proud of the person you are now, not your future self, and not the person you wish to be. It is about accepting, encouraging, and empowering yourself in the current moment.
Here’s the thing, you can celebrate who you are right now and for any reason. You don’t have to wait for that big win.
Don’t wait to celebrate until you graduate. Instead, celebrate that you aced that exam or dared to go back to college in your 50s.

Don’t wait to celebrate until you get that dream job. Instead, celebrate that you applied for ten jobs and got an interview!
Don’t wait to celebrate until you’ve lost 10lbs. Instead, celebrate that you’re working on getting healthier each day to be a more present mother or father or so that you can be healthy for your grandkids.

Don’t wait to celebrate when you find the one. Instead, celebrate that you are the one.
Many of us don’t celebrate our wins because we feel it’s bragging, that it’s not polite, it’s not humble.
However, celebrating ourselves has nothing to do with what other people think.
It’s YOU celebrating YOU.
It’s you celebrating your wins, how hard you worked, and the progress you’ve made to become you.
It’s never been about getting what you want. Instead, it’s about the journey towards that pursuit. It’s about you believing in yourself. It’s about you betting on yourself. It’s about you jumping into the unknown and knowing that the net will appear.
Celebrating YOU enables us to enjoy the journey, be grateful, and helps us increase our confidence. It has nothing to do with being boastful. Instead, it’s about appreciating your journey to becoming you.

I don’t know about you, but I celebrate every win today. First, I thank God, second, I give myself a quick pat on the back. I stopped waiting to reward myself for the BIG win and now celebrate each small victory – no matter how small.
I did an extra pushup? Celebrate!
Did I sleep 8-hours? Celebrate!
I started on that project that I’ve been procrastinating on? Celebrate.
I reacted with love and not anger? Celebrate.
Don’t wait for the big milestones. Celebrate you daily.
Love,
